Anyone on my flist watch the show Pretty Little Liars? I was bored last night and decided to watch the first ep online, and I rather liked it. I know, I know, I enjoy a mediorce drama on ABC Family. Look at you life, look at your choices, etc~

So far, my favorite characters are Emily and Aria. :D I'm kind of mesmerized by Aria's eyebrows, ngl. Don't hate, I have a thing for eyebrows with ~character~

THERE ARE MANY THINGS I SHOULD BE DOING but instead I'm gonna tell you guys all about the yuri I'm reading, because I'm responsible like that.

I've been reading a lot of light, fluffy yuri lately. I was reluctant at first to read stuff that's set in high school, but now I kind of love it. It's perfect when you want something cute and fun to read. :D Anyway, ONTO THE MANGA!

pictures within, nothing too bad )

I really want a Rihanna icon from Eminem's 'Love the Way You Lie' video, because she looks amaaaaaaaaaaaazing in it. Red hair is definitely her thing. ♥_♥

But I hate Eminem (CREEPY BIGOTED DOUCHEBAG) and I also hated the music video in question, which was badly done and I could write an essay on how problematic it was, but I'll spare you the details. I don't want to look like I support the video or think it's awesome or anything. :( SIGH. Talk about first-world problems.

On another note, on lj spotlight I keep reading "Russian-based photography" as "Russian-based pornography." Every single time, and then I giggle like an immature 12 yr old boy who just told a 'UR MOM' joke. (Interesting sidenote! I love your mom jokes. I make them ALL THE TIME. Don't judge me. :'( )

Holy shit, you guys. You know when you're reading a book and something so unexpected happens it's kind of like someone just punched you in the side of the head? I just finished the book Affinity by Sarah Waters, and that's really the only way to describe the ~experience. REELING. :O But, you know, in a good way.

Really good book, man. I won't say more, I don't want to ~spoil anyone. That said -- omg, I don't even know what to do with myself now that I'm finished, asdfkl;ajsdlkfjf.

This is the second book of hers I've read -- Fingersmith was the first. I think, if I were to compare the two, I like Fingersmith better, but they were both amazingly plotted.

This isn't much of a review at all, but seriously, consider picking up one of her books sometimes (I'd go for Fingersmith~). Well-written, well-plotted historical novels with lesbian main characters. WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE? :D
